TicketsCINCINNATI — Cincinnati senior outside hitter Sydney Nolan has been selected to the Preseason First Team All-Big 12, the conference announced Tuesday.
Nolan enters her senior season after a breakout junior campaign in which she earned First Team All-Big 12 and AVCA All-Region honors. She led the Bearcats with 4.68 kills per set on a .305 hitting percentage across 26 matches (100 sets) in 2025.
The Cincinnati standout recorded 11 matches with 20 or more kills and set a school record with 75 attacks in a four-set match against Arizona. Her season highlight came against No. 19 BYU, where she posted a .481 hitting percentage on 25 kills in 52 attempts without an error.
Nolan's 2025 production ranks eighth in program history for kills per set in the rally-scoring era. Nationally, she finished 12th in kills per set (4.68), 15th in attacks per set (11.87), 17th in points per set (5.97) and 25th in total kills (468).
Within the Big 12, Nolan ranked second in attacks per set, third in both kills per set and points per set, fifth in total kills and sixth in total attacks.
Nolan and the Bearcats open the 2026 season with two exhibition matches inside Fifth Third Arena, hosting Wright State on Aug. 15 at 1 p.m. and Tennessee on Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. Cincinnati opens the regular season against Illinois on Aug. 28 at 8 p.m.
