Two Cincinnati legacies will come together this season as the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family becomes the official jersey patch partner of Cincinnati football and men's basketball. The multi-year deal will make Wyler the largest corporate partner of Cincinnati Athletics.

The patch will debut this Saturday when Cincinnati welcomes Boston College for the football season opener at Historic Nippert Stadium.

For more than 50 years, the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family has grown alongside Greater Cincinnati. Founded by Jeff Wyler in 1973, the family-owned company began with a single dealership and a vision built around integrity, service and trust. Today, three generations of the Wyler family remain involved in the business as it has expanded throughout Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

“The Wyler family has built a reputation in this community through service, trust and a commitment to Greater Cincinnati for more than five decades,” said UC Director of Athletics John Cunningham. “Our student-athletes are proud to wear our city across their chests, and now one of our community's most recognizable family businesses will be part of that jersey as well.”

More Than 50 Years of the Wyler Way

Jeff Wyler opened his first dealership in 1973, beginning with a 20-car lot and growing the company into one of the nation's largest automotive dealership groups. Through decades of growth, the company has remained family-owned while expanding throughout the region and serving generations of customers.

Its guiding principles – integrity, service, trust, innovation and giving back to the communities it serves – have helped make the Wyler name synonymous with Cincinnati.

“Since our partnership with the University of Cincinnati began in 1975, the Jeff Wyler Automotive Family has proudly stood alongside UC and Bearcats Athletics,” said Wyler Automotive Family CEO David Wyler. “For more than 50 years, that relationship has been one of the most meaningful and enduring partnerships in our company’s history. Cincinnati is our home, and UC represents so much of what makes this city special, its energy, determination and competitive spirit.”

“What makes this partnership such a natural fit is how closely UC Athletics aligns with our team and our culture. We both have tremendous pride in our city, want to represent it at the highest level and are passionate about winning. We also know that winning is earned through hard work, preparation, relentless effort, accountability and a commitment to getting better every day. We’ve built our organization much like a successful athletic program. We call our managers coaches and focus on recruiting, developing and retaining the best players. Whether in athletics or business, great people, great coaching and great teamwork are what build winning teams.”

“We’re proud to make an even greater investment in UC Athletics, its student-athletes and Bearcats fans. Our family has been cheering for the Bearcats for generations, and we’re excited about what we can accomplish together.”

“We believe in Cincinnati. We believe in the Bearcats. And we’re proud to represent this city together.”
