CINCINNATI — University of Cincinnati track and field freshman Ade Lloyd has been selected as a mixed 4x400-meter relay alternate for Team USA at the World Athletics U20 Championships, set for 1:22 p.m. ET Wednesday at Hayward Field.
He is also scheduled to run a leg of the preliminary 4x400-meter relay at 2:20 p.m. ET Saturday.
Lloyd most recently competed at the USATF U20 Outdoor Championships, where he ran a 45.99 in the 400 meters to finish seventh.
Lloyd holds three indoor program records — the 300 meters (32.93), 400 meters (45.95) and 4x400-meter relay (3:07.83) — and one outdoor record, in the 4x400-meter relay (3:04.52).
He earned All-Big 12 honors in the 4x400-meter relay in both the indoor and outdoor seasons and was a 2026 NCAA East First Round qualifier in the 400 meters and 4x400-meter relay.
