TicketsCINCINNATI – The Cincinnati men’s golf team travels to Minnesota for the 2nd Swing Gopher Invitational starting Sunday at Windsong Farm Club in Independence, Minn. The 15-team event features 36 holes of play Sunday and 18 Monday.
Cincinnati’s lineup will consist of Leo Wessel, Timmy Hollenbeck, Brayden Miller, Eli Wessel and Aidan Wilson.
The Bearcats are coming off a third-place finish at the Bearcat Invitational Sept. 14-15 at Coldstream Country Club. For the second-consecutive tournament, Cincinnati bounced back from a sluggish first round to post the best score over the final 36 holes. Leo Wessel, who tied for eighth at 4-under, joined Brayden Miller and Aidan Wilson as Bearcats to play the final two rounds in red figures.

Tournament History: The Gopher Invitational has been held since 2005 and spent the last 12 years at Windsong Farm Club. This is the first time Cincinnati has participated in the event.
The Course: Windsong Farm is consistently rated among Minnesota's top golf courses, with additional national recognition as one of the top modern courses in the nation. Originally created by John Fought and Minnesota native Tom Lehman, the course's breathtaking views and unmatched conditions contribute to the ultimate golfing experience. Opened in 2003, Windsong measures 7,380 yards and has a par-71 layout.
The Field: Along with Cincinnati and the host Golden Gophers, the 15-team field features, Georgia, Grand Canyon, Iowa State, Kent State, Little Rock, Marquette, Miami (Ohio), Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oral Roberts, Rutgers, St. Thomas (MN) and West Virginia.
BEARCATS IN 2026-27
Cincinnati has finished at 10-under in both of its tournaments so far this fall, posting a fourth-place standing at the Folds of Honor Collegiate Sept. 8-10 at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Mich., before finishing third at the Bearcat Invitational Sept. 14-15 at Coldstream Country Club.
Leo Wessel returned to the lineup at the Bearcat Invitational and leads Cincinnati with a 69.67 scoring average, while Ryan Ford, Timmy Hollenbeck and Eli Wessel are tied for second at 70.67. Eli Wessel’s 4-under 67 in the final round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate was a season-best for the Bearcats.
