TicketsCINCINNATI – Cincinnati women’s golf opened its 2026-27 campaign with a record-setting performance Monday, shooting a program-record seven-under 281 in the first round and finishing the day in fifth place at the Bettie Lou Evans Invitational at the University Club of Kentucky’s Big Blue Course in Lexington, Ky.
The Bearcats sit in fifth place with a two-round score of 577. The final round is scheduled for an 8:30 a.m. ET shotgun start Tuesday.
Senior Ellise Rymer picked up right where she left off, tying the program record with a five-under 67 in the opening round. It marks the fourth time a Bearcat has carded a 67, with Ruby Chou the most recent to do so in fall 2024.
Rymer carded five birdies and an eagle on the fifth hole in the first round. She sits in sixth place at four-under 140 with 18 holes remaining.
Sophomore Angela Gomez also posted a career-low score in the opening round, shooting a 71 before following with an even-par 72. She enters Tuesday’s final round tied for 14th at 143.
Freshman Eline Chau-Hu opened her Bearcat career with an under-par 70 in the first round and currently sits at 145 (70-75).
Senior Lauren Pleiman (149, T-39th) and freshman Mai Mai Wimonwan (152, T-54th) round out Cincinnati’s lineup.
