TicketsLUBBOCK, Texas – The University of Cincinnati women’s soccer program fell to No. 25 Texas Tech, 2-0, on Sunday inside John Walker Soccer Stadium in Lubbock, Texas.
The Bearcats move to 2-3-4 on the season, while the Red Raiders improve to 5-0-4.
Texas Tech opened the scoring in the 34th minute on a penalty kick to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. The Red Raiders added to their advantage in the 54th minute, finding the back of the net to extend their lead to 2-0.
Sophomore Lexi O’Shea led Cincinnati with two shots, while Emma Gioffre, Molly Cochran, Tiana Campbell and Coley Sidloski each recorded one shot.
Goalkeeper Amber Brandon tallied a career-high six saves during the match.
Brandon, Braelyn Even, Anna Barber and Amber Branum each played the full 90 minutes.
Cincinnati travels to Waco, Texas to face Baylor at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27 inside Betty Lou May Field to continue its three-match road slate.
