TicketsFAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Freshman Mai Mai Wimonwan carded a career-low 3-under 69 to lead the Cincinnati women’s golf team in the second round of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Sunday at Blessings Golf Club.
Starting on the 10th hole, Wimonwan opened with a birdie and added two more birdies on Nos. 13 and 18, finishing her opening nine at 1-under 35. She continued her strong play on the second nine, recording back-to-back birdies on Nos. 1 and 2 and closing with a 2-under 34.
Her 69 marked a new career low and moved her to three-over for the tournament through 36 holes. She sits in a tie for 10th with 18 holes to play.
Ellise Rymer followed with a 76, while Staci Pla carded a 77. Eline Chau-Hu finished with a 78 and Angela Gomez posted an 80 on the day.
The Bearcats will close the three-day tournament with the final 18 holes Monday.
