CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team will play its final exhibition game of the fall on Saturday when it hosts Xavier at UC Baseball Stadium.

First pitch is set for 1:00 p.m. The two teams will play nine innings, take a short break, and then finish with 6-7 more innings.

Admission is free and concessions will be available for purchase.

Saturday’s game will be the fourth and final fall ball game for the Bearcats, who are 3-0 thus far with wins against Purdue, Kentucky, and Dayton.

On the mound, Cincinnati’s pitchers have struck out 59 while walking 18 across 45.0 innings of action. Connor Osier and Beckett Doane both have a team-high seven strikeouts apiece, while Connor Blue, Nolan Bernard, Garula, and Doane have yet to allow a run this fall.

Dylan Fairchild’s big day against Dayton, when he slugged two home runs and had a double as well, has a team-best seven RBI. He has two of UC’s seven fall home runs.

Cincinnati began its Red vs. Black World Series on Thursday and will continue next week with games on Tuesday, Oct. 20 and Thursday, Oct. 22. Both games are open to the public and will begin at 4:00 p.m.
