GRANBURY, Texas – Freshman Staci Pla tied Cincinnati women’s golf’s program record for a single round with a five-under-par 67 on Tuesday at the Abilene Christian Intercollegiate at Halbert National.
Pla’s career-best round featured an eagle on the fifth hole and five birdies. The Bearcats carded a two-under-par 286 as a team, moving in to sixth place in the standings. Three Cincinnati golfers finished the round at even par or better.
Rymer recorded six birdies to finish at even par and sits tied for 20th at one-over par for the tournament. Mai Mai Wimonwan also finished at even par and is tied for 22nd.
Sophomore Angela Gomez sits tied for 41st, while freshman Eline Chau-Hu is in 48th.
Cincinnati returns to the course Wednesday for the final round. Coverage will be available on Golf Channel.
