2017-18 SEASONS
2018 OUT (FR): Added another all-time Top 10 mark to her freshman season as she ran 17:27.12 in the 5,000m run at the War Eagle Invitational (Auburn) to move onto the list at #9… opened the season with a PR of 4:43.91 in the 1,500m run at the Oliver Nikoloff Open (Cincinnati)… also took part in the 10,000m run at the Nikoloff, setting the pace for teammate Tessa Ward, who ran a huge PR and the #6 time in UC history… qualified for and competed in the 3,000m run at the USATF Junior Championships, placing sixth overall in 10:18.26… named the Best Freshman (women) for the 2017-18 track & field/cross country program at the end of season banquet… earned AAC All-Academic honors.
2018 IN (FR): Continued her strong collegiate start by turning in all-time Top 10 marks in all three events she raced… raced the mile four times and ran a PR in three of those, finishing with a best of 5:03.26 for the #5 position in UC history… opened the year running 5:11.76 before lowering it to 5:05.17 at the Notre Dame Invitational for the #7 spot on the Top 10 ledger… placed 15th in the event at the AAC Championships… also raced in the 3,000m run on two occasions… posted a best of 10:01.07 at the Music City Challenge to record the #7 mark in program history… ran the lead leg of the DMR at the AAC Championships, helping the team finish fourth in 11:55.31, the #5 time in UC history… earlier in the season, ran the lead leg of the same relay at the Charlie Thomas Invitational where the team clocked a time of 11:41.09 to break the school record by nearly eight seconds.
2017 XC (FR): Raced six times in her rookie season… team’s top finisher at the NCAA Pre-National meet, placing 84th overall in 22:30.9, a 10-second improvement over her previous collegiate 6,000m best… finished among the Top 3 on the team in five races, including being the second finisher for the Bearcats at the AAC Championships as she finished 37th overall… second-best 13th-place finish in the season-opening Queen City Invitational, her first collegiate race.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2017 graduate of Bishop Watterson High School (Columbus)… competed for the track & field and soccer teams all four years and added three years of competition with the cross country team as well… tabbed as the school’s MVP in cross country and track & field as a senior… helped her teams to nine conference championships, including four in soccer, three in cross country and two in track and field with a sweep of the three titles in her sophomore and senior seasons… on the track, qualified to the state outdoor meet in the 3,200m run as a senior after placing ninth in the indoor state meet at 1,600m… captured the conference crowns in the 800m and 1,600m runs outdoors while also helping the 4x800m relay to victory… twice earned all-district honors as a senior with one each in track and cross country… helped the DMR qualify to the New Balance National meet as a sophomore… earned a place in the National Honors Society as well as school honors: Social Studies Medal, Theology Medal and Service Cords (300+ service hours)… comes from an athletic family with members playing collegiately in field hockey, football, baseball and lacrosse… plans to major in pre-medicine.
