2024 OTF: Participated in three meets… At the Wake Forest Invitational, he finished fifth in the 5000m (14:19.71)… Seventh place finish in the 5000m at the Wake Forest Invitational (14:19.71).
2023 XC: Ran in three meets… Finished 93rd in 8k at the Big 12 Championships (25:50.2).
High School: Attended St. Xavier running cross country and track and field all four years… During his junior year he was the Greater Catholic League South 3,200m champion… He also helped The St, X cross country team qualify for the state championships… As a senior he was a 3,200m state qualifier and helped the cross country team finish as runner ups at the stage championships.
Personal: A Cincinnati native born on May 13, 2005… Son of Walter Houchens III and Judith Houchens… His father is a Cincinnati graduate, while his mother attended Xavier… Has two older sisters Aubrie and Leah… Plans on majoring on Aerospace Engineering during his time at UC.
