Zach Higgins
Zach Higgins joined the University of Cincinnati staff in 2019 and serves as the associate director of football sports performance. 
 
Higgins assists director of football sports performance Brady Collins in helping UC student-athletes maximize their athletic potential through a modern, comprehensive program with the latest techniques in sports performance. He also assists with the nutrition efforts for the team.
 
He joined the Bearcats after a two-year stint at Maryland.
 
Prior to joining the Terrapins staff, Higgins worked at Miami (OH) from October 2016 to January 2017, working with baseball, synchronized skating, swimming and diving and track and field programs while assisting with football.
 
Higgins came to Oxford from University Park, Maryland, where he served as an administrative coach for Maryland. He helped implement the Terrapins' football strength and conditioning program while tracking performance analytics with the performance coordinator. He also monitored modified workouts of student-athletes recovering from injury.
 
Prior to his stint at Maryland, Higgins served as an offensive student assistant at Michigan State during the 2015 season. He helped the offensive line coaches during practices, run-throughs and meetings and was responsible for the offense's statistical breakdowns. He also spent the spring semester of 2015 as an administrative coach, helping run winter conditioning drills.
 
Higgins played for Michigan State’s football team during a successful period that saw MSU win three bowl games and win a Big Ten title. He was a member of the Spartans' 2012 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl championship team, the 2014 Rose Bowl champions and the 2015 Cotton Bowl champions.
 
A native of Alliance, Ohio, Higgins earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Michigan State in May, 2016.
 
Higgins and his wife Sydney live in Cincinnati.
