2020: Backup running back played in all 10 games on the season and earned his first UC start in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl against Georgia. Totaled 483 yards rushing with eight scores and a 6.6 yards per rush average. Ran for a season-best total of 116 yards on nine carries along with two TDs against Memphis. Carried a season-high 12 times for 57 yards and a score in the AAC title game vs. Tulsa. Also added four catches for 24 yards in the matchup with the Golden Hurricane. In his Peach Bowl start, Ford rushed eight times for 97 yards, including a 79-yard TD scamper, his longest rush of the campaign. He also added two receptions for 15 yards against the Bulldogs. Had three rushes of 40 or more yards, going for 79 against Georgia, 42 vs. Tulsa and 48 against Memphis. Four of his six TD runs were from 20+ yards out.Joined the Bearcats early in 2020 after two years at Alabama … granted a waiver and will be eligible in Fall 2020.
2019 (Alabama): Standout tailback prospect from the state of Florida who redshirted after four games of action last season ... established a role in a talented running back group this fall ... played in four games with one start ... accumulated 114 yards and three touchdowns on 24 carries ... added two receptions for 11 yards this season. Duke: Made his first career start, leading all Tide backs in yards with 64 on 10 carries ... added his first career touchdown on a 37-yard run for UA’s final score of the day. New Mexico State: Rushed one time for five yards in the home opener. Southern Miss: Entered off the bench to contribute 21 yards and a touchdown on eight carries against USM. Western Carolina: Totaled 24 yards and a touchdown on five carries against the Catamounts.
2018 (Alabama): Standout tailback prospect from the state of Florida ... established a role in a deep UA running back group ... rushed seven times for 37 yards across his four games of action as a freshman. Louisville: Carried twice for four yards in his first collegiate action. Arkansas State: Saw time against the Red Wolves but did not record any carries. Ole Miss: Rushed twice against the Rebels for no gain. Louisiana: Totaled 33 yards on just three carries with a long of 15 yards against the Ragin’ Cajuns ... two of the three rushes resulted in a first down for UA.
