2022: Saw action in nine games…Hauled in a career-high five receptions for 62 yards…Had two receptions for 32 yards against Louisville in the Wasabi Fenway Bowl.

2019: A redshirt freshman with four years of eligibility remaining, came to UC in the late spring of 2019 after spending one year at Ohio State where he sat out as a first-year player. He was granted an immediate-eligibility waiver in the summer of 2019 ... played in six games on the season … made his UC debut against Miami (OH) … grabbed his first career reception, an 11-yard effort, at Marshall … also had an eight-yard catch against UConn.

High School: L’Christian Smith was the nation’s No. 39 overall player according to Rivals and a member of the ESPN 300 … a four-star receiver who was ranked as the No. 3 player in Ohio (Rivals) and No. 126 overall nationally by 247Sports … the No. 9 rated wide receiver according to Rivals and a Prepstar Dream Team member … a talented two-sport athlete who also drew recruiting interest from schools as a basketball player … first team All-Ohio during his senior year … comes from the same high school program that produced current Buckeye DT Robert Landers and former Buckeye QB/WR Braxton Miller, now in his third season with the NFL’s Houston Texans … coached by Jay Minton … helped Wayne advance to the Division I state title game as a sophomore in 2015 … caught 54 passes for 1,311 yards and 17 touchdowns that season … parents are Tasha Cochran and Lorenzo Smith.
