TicketsEric Finney joined the Cincinnati football staff as a defensive quality control assistant in Spring 2024.
Finney comes from Iowa Western Community College, where he worked seven years as the defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator, helping lead the Reivers to back-to-back NJCAA titles in 2022 and 2023. He also served two years as a grad assistant at Concordia University of Chicago.
Finney enjoyed a strong playing career at Illinois (2013-15), where he played the STAR position. His Illini debut was even against Cincinnati. Finney totaled 70 tackles (11.0 for loss) with nine starts over those three years. Prior to Illinois, he played two years at the College of the Canyons (California), where he missed the 2012 season due to injury.
He is a native of Riverside, Calif.
