Former University of Cincinnati guard JaQuon Parker completed his sixth season on the basketball staff in 2018-19. He has worked as the program assistant since the start of the 2016-17 campaign.
Parker joined the staff as an undergraduate assistant coach in December 2013 before his promotion to assistant for student-athlete development in August 2014.
A guard for the Bearcats from 2010-13, Parker signed with a professional basketball team in Finland in June 2013 and later played briefly in the NBA Developmental League.
Parker averaged 7.1 points and 3.9 rebounds during his four-year career with the Bearcats. As a senior, he averaged a career-best 10.9 points and shot 40.0 percent (40 of 100) from three-point range. He helped lead the Bearcats to 93 wins, three 20-win seasons, three NCAA tournament appearances (including the 2012 NCAA Sweet 16) and a BIG EAST Championship runner-up finish during his career.
The Suffolk, Virginia native is Cronin's first UC player to join his Bearcats coaching staff. Parker joins T.J. Wolf as Cronin-coached players currently on the UC staff. Wolf played for Cronin at Murray State University and serves as director of student-athlete development.
