Tyler Stuart
Tyler Stuart joined the University of Cincinnati staff in the summer of 2020 as the director of men’s basketball sports performance.
 
He will oversee the physical development of the Bearcats, preparing them for optimum performance while decreasing the likelihood of injury. Stuart will also work closely with each student-athlete to prepare them for practice and games with coaching on nutrition, recovery and education.
 
Stuart comes to UC following three seasons (2017-20) as the director of strength and conditioning for the University of New Mexico’s men’s basketball program.
 
While with the Lobos, Stuart oversaw the strength and conditioning program along with managing the team’s nutrition needs. Prior to his time in Albuquerque, he spent five years (2012-17) at the University of Florida.
 
During his time with the Gators, Stuart designed and implemented year-round strength, speed and conditioning workouts for the Gator women’s basketball, women’s tennis and women’s golf teams; guides each student-athlete through an individual training program designed to enhance strength as well as explosive power, speed, agility, endurance, coordination, balance and flexibility.
 
Prior to working at UF, Stuart was the Director of Basketball Strength and Conditioning at Appalachian State for the 2011-12 season.
 
Stuart started his coaching career at Clemson University when he was the head women’s basketball strength and conditioning coach from August 2007 until July 2011. He also served as the interim head basketball strength and conditioning coach for a two-month period in 2009. Stuart worked as a volunteer strength and conditioning coach at Clemson from January 2007 until he began working with the women’s basketball program, spending time with the football, baseball, soccer and rowing teams for the Tigers.

The Anderson, South Carolina native earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology-exercise science from Anderson University in 2007 and a master’s in human nutrition from Clemson in 2011.
