Blake Tucker Season 2008-09

2007-08 Season (Junior):

• Had team's third-best average and career-best average of 76.4, playing in every tournament except one.
• One of two player's on team to have a low-round score of 69 (tying career best round), earned in the first round of the Marshall Invitational, finishing in 16th place (tied) and helping the team to an eighth place finish overall.
• Season-best finish at UC Spring Invitational, earning an 11th place (tied), helping team to overall first place finish, one of two times the team would place first overall.
• Had five top-30 finishes, including a 16th place (tied) finish at the Cleveland State Invitational and a 26th (tied) finish at the D.A. Weibring Intercollegiate, hitting every round under 74.

2006-07 Season (Sophomore):

• Played in eight tournaments, including all but one during the spring season.
• Posted an average of 77.0, with a low score of 70 during the final round of the BIG EAST Championship.
• Finished tied for 11th at the LaRosa's Collegiate Cup and 13th at the Wolf Run Intercollegiate. Scored a 12th-place finish during the Crossriver Shootout vs. Northern Kentucky.

At Owens CC: Finished only season with a 76.5 average ... tied for 41st at the NJCAA Championship, due in part to a season-best round of 69.

High School: Tabbed an All-American and All-Ohio performer as a senior at Van Buren High School ... twice qualified for state tournament, including runner-up honors in 2004 ... was a four-time all-conference selection and a two-time all-district pick ... also lettered in baseball and basketball ... was a first team all-conference selection in both sports ... holds season records for triples and saves and career saves mark.

Personal: Born Sept. 19, 1986 ... son of Geoff and Jodie Palmer ... cousin Jay Crawford is host of ESPN2 show Cold Pizza.
