Competed in the 200 IM and 500 freestyle throughout high school... As a sophomore, he placed 8th in the 200 IM and 7th in the 500 free, while also helping his 200 freestyle relay team to a runner-up finish at states... The following year, he placed 8th in the 200 IM and 10th in the 500 free, contributing to a 3rd-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay and a 4th-place finish in the 400 freestyle relay... As a senior, he capped her career with a 7th-place finish in the 200 IM and 6th in the 500 free at the state championships... In addition to his success in the pool, he excelled in the classroom, earning Honor Roll recognition in his freshman, sophomore, and senior years, along with High Honor Roll distinction as a junior.
