Competed in 11 meets this season… Secured an event win at the first meet of the season against Northern Kentucky in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:40.76… Grabbed three second-place finishes including twice in the 200-yard butterfly and once in the 100-yard butterfly.
2024-25
Competed in seven meets… Recorded fourth in multiple events throughout the season, including the 200-yard backstroke (vs. Louisville), 1000-yard freestyle (vs. Oakland) and twice in the 500-yard freestyle (vs. Oakland and vs. Xavier).
HIGH SCHOOL / PREP
A member of Texas Ford Aquatics, Sachau finished sixth in the 500-yard freestyle (4:28.99) and eighth in the 1000-yard freestyle (9:23.20) … A graduate of McKinney Boyd High School, he swam on the school’s varsity swim and dive team for the first three years of his high school career … While competing for the Broncos, Sachau raced at the regional championship each year and made it all the way to the UIL 6A State Championship in his senior year, placing 17th in the 200-yard freestyle (1:41.11) and 19th in the 100-yard backstroke (51.35) … Competed at a number of high-level competitions over the year (NCSA Summer Championships, Winter Junior Championships, Futures and the TYR Pro Swim Series).
