2020-21: Participated in four events at the AAC Championships (200 IM, 400 medley relay, 100 back, 200 medley relay)... won and broke his own school record in the 100 back (46.57), won the 200 medley relay (1:25.54), placed second and set a new personal best in the 200 IM (1:45.76) and placed second in the 400 medley relay at the AAC Championships... won and set a new personal best in the 100 free (45.35) while also taking first in the 100 back (47.80) and the 200 medley relay (1:28.50) against Xavier... won the 200 back (1:44.14), placed third in the 100 back (47.87) and the 200 medley relay (1:29.33) against Louisville.
Prior to UC: Helped lead team to state runner-up finish as a Senior... was Team Captain, Regional Champion in 200 Medley Relay and 100 Back. Regional Runner-Up in 200 IM... Finished in Top 3 at State in 100 Back and Top 8 in 200 IM during his Senior Year. Was State finalist as a part of the State Runner-Up team his Junior year. Qualified for State his Sophomore and Freshman year. Swam on the National Team for the Northern Kentucky Clippers. Qualified for Speedo Winter Junior Nationals and NCSA while in High School. Swam for the UC Club Swim Team and was a two-time National Club Champion and multiple event record holder.
His Junior Year, Blake was a Top Scorer throughout the year at Dual Meets as well as a Top Scorer at conference. Blake set one Individual School Record (200 Back) and was a part of the school record 200 Medley Relay at Conference. Blake was the 200 Back Individual Champion at 2019 AAC Conference, as well as Runner-Up in the 400 Individual Medley. Blake earned the "Rookie of the Year" award on the team.
His Senior Year, Blake was named one of the Captains of the team. He set records in the 100 Back, 200 Back, 400 Medley Relay, and 200 Medley Relay. Blake was Conference Runner-Up in the 100 Back, 200 Back, and 400 Medley Relay. He was a part of the third place 200 Medley Relay. Blake's 100 Back time put him as only the second Bearcat to break the 48.00 barrier (the first being Joey Puglessi one heat before him). Prior to this season, Blake qualified for the 2021 Olympic Trials in the 200 Back. After conference, he also achieved the qualifying time in the 100 Back.
Personal: Born August 14, 1998 ... Parents are Brad and Diane ... has three brothers, Davis, Ethan and Evan ... his brother Davis swam at Centre College ... plans to major in information technology-cyber security
