Entered the top-ten program list in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 48.85. 

HIGH SCHOOL / PREP
Attended and swam for West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Fla. … During his freshman year, he finished fifth at the state championships in the 100-yard backstroke and eighth in the 200-yard freestyle … Earned Athlete of the Year as a freshman and sophomore year at the Montverde Aquatic Club … As a senior, he finished fourth in the 200-yard freestyle and fifth in the 100-yard butterfly at the state championships.
