Competed in nine meets… Notched second in the 1000-yard freestyle against Xavier… Placed 14th at the Big 12 Conference Championship in the 1650-yard freestyle.

Beyer spent his junior year of high school in southern California, training with The Swim Team and coach Mark Schubert … Returned to East for his senior year … At last year’s state finals, Beyer finished 15th in both the 500-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke and swam on a pair of relay teams … Was The Republic Boys Swimmer of the Year.
