Nate Hoffmeier

Nathan Hoffmeier joined the University of Cincinnati athletics staff in January 2024 as an associate athletic trainer. He initially worked with the track and field program before transitioning to Cincinnati women’s basketball, where he is entering his second season as the team’s athletic trainer.

Prior to joining Cincinnati, Hoffmeier spent time at Xavier, where he served as an assistant athletic trainer through TriHealth beginning in 2017. Before Xavier, he worked as a clinical athletic trainer for Mercy Health Physical Therapy at its Bridgetown Road and Northern Kentucky locations.

Hoffmeier previously served as an athletic trainer and instructor at Mount St. Joseph University from 2014-16, working with women’s volleyball, men’s lacrosse, track and field, cross country, cheerleading and dance.

He also spent three years as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma State University from 2011-14. During his time at Oklahoma State, he worked with the softball team from 2011-13 and the men’s and women’s tennis teams during the 2013-14 school year.

Hoffmeier earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Ball State University in 2011 and a master’s degree in applied exercise science from Oklahoma State University in 2014.
