Julia Abbott Season 2018

2017 (Sophomore): Saw action in 14 matches on the year and earned a starting nod five times… tallied her second career goal with a strike against Morehead State in the Bearcats’ 4-0 victory over the visiting Eagles… her goal and two points tied career highs… also tied her career high for shots with three attempts at SMU… played a career-high 45 minutes against #14 UCF (0-0 draw)… also started and played 41 minutes in a 1-0 defeat of ECU in the regular-season finale… named to the AAC All-Academic team.
 
2016 (Freshman): Appeared in 17 matches in her rookie campaign… selected to the Starting XI at Evansville… recorded one goal and two points on 10 shots during the season… lone goal game on the road at Lipscomb, the second score in a 4-0 UC win… registered 10 shots on the year with a single-game high three attempts at home to both Youngstown State and SMU… named to the AAC All-Academic team.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Our Lady of Good Counsel HS (Olney, Md.)… four-year member of the Falcons’ soccer team… team won the WCAC Championship four times… twice selected All-WCAC Honorable Mention and once as a Second Team honoree… All-State Honorable Mention as a junior… Washington Post All-Metro Honorable Mention and All-Gazette Honorable Mention as a junior… also played lacrosse… at the club level, competed for a trio of teams in her career, including MSC Coyotes, MRM Rush Coyotes and MD United Coyotes… helped her teams to five Maryland State Championships (2011-15)… won the 2012 Region 1 title before winning the US Youth Soccer National Championships… two-time USYS National League Champions (2013, 2016)… 2013 squad placed third at the US Youth National Championships… team made the national tournament again in 2014… spent time in the community working with Special Olympics soccer, track & field and bowling among other activities.
