HONORS & AWARDS
American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll (1x): 9/24/18
2018 (Junior): Came off the bench in all 18 matches during the season… tallied two goals and one assist for five points, marking the first points in her three-year career with the Bearcats… scored her first collegiate goal on a loose ball in the box to tie the match with Lipscomb, 1-1, in the 79’ before UC would win, 2-1… grabbed her second career goal and her first game-winner on the road at Tulsa as she fired from 15 yards out to give UC a 2-1 win after trailing, 1-0, early in the contest… following the program’s first win at Tulsa, Picou was named to the AAC Weekly Honor Roll, her first weekly award… played a career-high 65 minutes in a 2-2 draw with Temple.
2017 (Sophomore): Appeared in all 19 matches in 2017… got the starting call at LSU, the first start of her career… a speedy outside back, she helped the defense post 11 clean sheets on the year (fourth-most in a single season in UC history) while conceding just 11 goals all year (the fewest in program history)… her play out of the back also helped get the ball down the pitch on the counter, leading to several shots… took 11 shots on the season with eight going on target… posted a career-high four shots against Pittsburgh… took one shot (all of which were on frame) in each of the final six matches of the season… named to the AAC All-Academic team.
2016 (Freshman): Appeared in 15 matches in her freshman campaign… worked a defense that allowed 21 goals, the fewest for the program since 2006 (19)… defensive unit also held nine opponents scoreless, including three league foes in a row… named to the AAC All-Academic team.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2016 graduate of Needham HS (Needham, Mass.)… competed for the NHS soccer team as a junior and senior… helped the Rockets to the Massachusetts state championship in 2015 as the team posted a 22-0-2 record… earned tournament MVP honors following the state title run… team also was the 2014 Bay State champions… competed for several club teams in Europe, including College Du Leman (Geneva, Switzerland/2009-11), Ascot United (United Kingdom/2011-13) and Aire Le Lignon Amateur Club (Geneva, Switzerland/2013-14)… helped Aire le Lignon to the title in the Coupe Genoevoise and runner-up in the Coupe Suisse…also was a member of the Chelsea Developmental School in the U.K. 2011-13… stateside, was a member of the GPS-Massachusetts U17 NPL Elite team and NEFC… helped NEFC to the title at the Preseason Showcase tournament… NEFC also was finished second in the State Cup… competed in track and field for NHS as a senior… bilingual, speaking English and French… selected for the NHS honor roll all four years… Boston Globe All-Scholastic honoree.
