Assistant Athletic Trainer Mary Ankrom joined the University of Cincinnati staff in January 2018. She works primary with the women’s soccer team.
Ankrom's day-to-day responsibilities include management, treatment and prevention of all women’s soccer student-athlete injuries and illnesses, working on research involving UC's sports sciences initiative as well as assisting in the operation of the sports medicine center on the second floor of the Lindner Center.
She joined the UC staff after a year at Kent State University. While with the Flashes, she worked with the women’s volleyball and lacrosse teams.
Ankrom received her Master's of Education with a specialization in Sport Administration from Bowling Green State University as a graduate assistant athletic trainer with men's soccer and softball programs.
Prior to graduate school, Ankrom completed a certified internship at Miami University, working with men's and women's swimming and diving and assisting medical coverage at Talawanda High School.
A native of Geneva, Ohio, Ankrom completed her Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training at Ashland University in 2014.
