Jiana Chezick joined the University of Cincinnati sports performance staff in October 2020.
She currently works with the women’s soccer and men’s and women’s track and field program’s jumpers, throwers and multi-event athletes.
Checzick came to UC after two years at UMass Lowell where she worked as a performance coach for women’s lacrosse and men’s and women’s track and field. During her time with the River Hawks, she also worked with volleyball and women’s soccer while also serving as the interim performance coach for women’s basketball during the summer of 2018.
Prior to her UMass Lowell stint, Chezick interned at Creighton University during the summer of 2017, assisting with the volleyball, softball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball and rowing.
A native of Rochester, Minnesota, Chezick earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in coaching from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 2017 and her master’s degree in exercise science and health promotion with a focus in rehabilitation sciences from California University of Pennsylvania in 2020.
Chezick is certified through the Collegiate Strength and Condition Coaches Association and the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
