The University of Cincinnati Department of Athletics has announced the hiring of Andre Seoldo as associate athletics director for facilities and operations. Seoldo begins his duties July 15, 2013.

At UC, Seoldo will direct all event management, facility rentals and will assist in capital projects. He will also be responsible for evaluating, developing, and managing policies and procedures related to the operation of athletic facilities. Seoldo has also been charged to create athletic facilities marketing plans, including actively seeking promoters and potential lessees.

Seoldo comes to UC after spending nearly three years at the University of Northern Iowa. He began his tenure at UNI as the assistant athletic director for facilities and operations in October 2010 and was promoted to associate athletic director in July 2012.

"We are extremely fortunate to be able to add someone with the depth of experience and the professional caliber of Andre to our administrative team," said Brendan Fouracre, senior associate athletics director for facilities and operations at UC. "Andre possesses proven leadership skills in event management, customer service, and revenue generation through facility rentals, all of which should result in dividends to our department and constituents. We are thrilled Andre, wife Tiffany, and sons Antonio and Sonny, have decided to join the Bearcats family."

During his tenure at UNI, Seoldo provided leadership and budget oversight to the facilities and operations staff and supervised over 55 personnel. He was also responsible for securing, implementing and marketing external facility rentals, including concerts, trade shows, commencements and other non-University athletic events. Seoldo also garnered a $150,000 grant to install point of sale terminals in athletic venues at UNI.

Prior to his arrival at UNI, Seoldo spent 10 years at Kent State University where he advanced from field house and sports camp assistant in 2000 to associate athletic director for facilities and operations in 2005. He was the director for conference championships hosted by KSU, including 2006 baseball, 2008 field hockey, 2009 indoor track and field and women's golf and 2010 men's golf. Seoldo completed various large-scale projects during his time at KSU, including the Schoonover Baseball Stadium, Golf Training and Learning Center, Dix Stadium renovations and turf replacement for baseball, football and field hockey.

"I look forward to joining UC's athletic facilities and operations staff," said Seoldo. "I was very impressed with the people I met and the first class facilities and future plans for the facilities. I am excited to work with the athletics staff, campus and community constituents and Bearcat student-athletes."

Seoldo worked at the University of Florida from 1999-2000 as the operations and facilities assistant.

He earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training from Northeastern University and his master's in sports administration from Wichita State University. He recently graduated from IAVM Venue Management School at Oglebay (Wheeling, W.Va.).

Seoldo and his wife Tiffany have two sons, Antonio and Sonny.
