Anthony Mazzini is in his second year as the University of Cincinnati play-by-play broadcaster for the American Athletic Conference on ESPN+. His broadcasting responsibilities include men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, women’s soccer, women’s volleyball, and women’s lacrosse.
Mazzini is also the lead broadcaster and media relations manager for the Florence Y’alls baseball team in Florence, KY. He comes to the Queen City from the Boston area where he called games for Harvard University, Boston University, the College of the Holy Cross, and Babson College. He also spent three summers broadcasting games for the Worcester Bravehearts of the Futures Collegiate Baseball League.
Mazzini is a 2019 graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. While at Syracuse, he broadcasted SU football and men’s basketball games for the famed student radio station, WAER 88.3 FM. He was also on the air at WJPZ 89.1 FM and did play-by-play and studio work for the ACC Network Extra. He graduated as the top academic male among journalism students in his graduating class at the Newhouse School and is conversational in Italian.
In his free time, Anthony enjoys visiting some of the many Cincinnati-area breweries, restaurants, and golf courses. Originally from Milford, MA, he currently resides across the river in Bellevue, KY.
