- Attained national honors as UC[apos]s diving coach.
- Tutored 10 divers who earned a total of 32 All-American awards during his 23-year career.
- Attracted international acclaim when Becky Ruehl capped her freshman season by finishing fourth in the platform diving competition at the 1996 Olympics.
- Coached two national diving champions, Pat Evans, who won the men[apos]s 3-meter title at the 1989 NCAA Championships, and Becky Ruehl, who won the platform title in 1996.
