Chris Cullum
Chris Cullum joined the University of Cincinnati as a Director of Strategic Brand Engagement in February 2024. He is the primary contact for the baseball program and the secondary contact for football.
 
Cullum came to UC after nearly seven years at the University of Toledo. He joined the Rockets in August 2017 as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications, working with baseball and volleyball and serving as the secondary football contact. He was promoted to Associate Director of Athletic Communications in May 2021 after assuming women’s basketball duties during the 2020-21 season. Cullum also worked with the men’s and women’s tennis programs and the women’s swimming and diving program during the 2020-21 season at UT.
 
While at Toledo, he covered the Rockets’ women’s basketball program during its MAC Championship-winning seasons in 2021-22 and 2022-23 and was the primary media contact for the team’s NCAA Tournament appearance in 2023.

Cullum previously spent two years at Ohio State University as an athletic communications assistant, where he was the primary contact for women's ice hockey, men's and women's swimming & diving, and pistol. Cullum also served as the secondary contact for women's basketball and men's lacrosse while at Ohio State, and traveled to Jamaica and Ecuador as part of service learning trips with other staff members and student-athletes during his time there. He served as the media coordinator for the 2017 Big Ten Men's Swimming and Diving Championships.

Prior to working at OSU, Cullum worked at Virginia Commonwealth University where he was the contact men's and women's soccer and baseball. While at VCU, Cullum was the media coordinator for the 2014 Atlantic 10 men's soccer tournament along with handling media responsibilities as the baseball team advanced to an NCAA Super Regional for the first time in school history.

Outside of college athletics, Cullum has worked with the Columbus Blue Jackets and the Richmond Flying Squirrels (AA, Eastern League) as a member of their game day communications staffs.

Cullum graduated from Miami University in 2013 with bachelor's degrees in journalism and sports studies. He and his wife, Megan, reside in Cincinnati.
