Dan Phillips
Dan Phillips, a distinguished University of Cincinnati graduate who has been a part of creating environments for sporting events on the world’s biggest stages, joined the Department of Athletics in 2019 as the Bearcats’ Chief Creative Officer.
 
Phillips oversees the department’s creative vision and direction, working in all mediums from large format, to print, to digital and beyond. He has also created a student-internship program which has brought a number of talented designers into athletics where they assist with graphics and design strategy for various sports.
 
Prior to returning to his alma mater, Phillips spent 11 years as a design director with Infinite Scale, a worldwide creative agency with a focus on sports, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. His portfolio included multiple Super Bowls, each year of the College Football Playoff, the Orange Bowl, including UC’s appearance in 2008, numerous NHL events including the Winter Classic, global events such as Copa America as well as landmark facilities such MetLife Stadium, Levi's Stadium and Kyle Field, among many others
 
Phillips earned a bachelor’s degree from the world-renowned graphic design program from UC’s College of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning in 2008. While an undergrad, Phillips worked Co-Op’s with F+W Media in Cincinnati and Vehicle SF in San Francisco, working with brands such as Nike, the National Basketball Association and New Era Co. among others.
 
The Queen City native is a product of St. Xavier HS. Phillips, his wife Corinne, stepson Owen, daughter Clara and their German Shepard named Stella live in Cincinnati.
