David Ahouse joined the University of Cincinnati staff in September 2022.
Ahouse was promoted to Assistant AD for Sports Medicine in 2025. He manages the sports medicine and athletic training staffs for the Olympic sports at UC. Additionally, he serves as the primary athletic trainer for the women’s lacrosse team. Previously, he spent seven years as an athletic trainer and medical assistant at TriHealth and Beacon Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
From 2006 to 2015, Ahouse led the athletic training efforts for the football program at Florida International University. Before his tenure at FIU, he was an assistant athletic trainer for the Hamburg Sea Devils of the NFL Europe league. He worked as an assistant athletic trainer at Cornell from 2000 to 2004, covering women's basketball and fencing.
Ahouse received his Bachelor of Health and Human Services from Cornell in 1998 and went on to earn his Master’s in physical education from FIU in 2006.
He and his wife, Emily, have two children, Henry and William, and live in Anderson Township.
