Flores served as an assistant coach, working with the offensive line, for Lindenwood University prior to coming to UC. At Lindenwood, Flores joined the coaching staff in 2024 as the offensive line coach. Under his guidance, the Lions’ offensive line helped lead a rushing attack that ranked first in the Big South-OVC, averaging 173.7 yards per game. Offensive linemen Gareth Warren and Cameron Cooper both earned All-Conference honors, with Warren and Cooper starting all 12 games at left tackle and right guard, respectively. Lindenwood finished the season 5-7 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
Prior to Lindenwood he spent eight seasons on the staff at Evangel University. At Evangel, Flores began his tenure as the defensive line coach, where he coached two All-Americans and had at least one all-conference performer in four out of six seasons. Flores coached Josh Evans and Andreas Moeller who both went on to be named Conference Player of the Year in 2017 and 2018, respectively. Both led the Heart of America Conference (HAAC) in tackles for loss and sacks in each season. He also took over the special teams coordinator position prior to 2021.
Flores was promoted to offensive coordinator in the spring of 2022. In 2023, he led the Valor to their most wins since 2001, as they finished the year 11-1. Under the guidance of Flores, Evangel finished the year atop the conference in total passing and No. 3 in rushing. Flores also coached the offensive line where he had six all-conference selections and the first All-American on the offensive line since 2005.
Prior to his time in Springfield, Mo. Flores spent three seasons at the University of Missouri, in the football recruiting department in 2013 and was elevated to assistant director of recruiting in 2014. In his first two two seasons at Mizzou, the Tigers won the SEC East going a combined 23-5 and winning the Cotton Bowl and Citrus Bowl.
Before Missouri, Flores spent two seasons at Avila University from 2011-12 as the wide receivers coach.
Avila broke 16 offensive school records during his tenure, including most points in a season, most receptions in a season by a receiver, and most passing yards in a game. He developed four All-Heart of America Athletic Conference receivers, including the school's all-time leader in receptions and first-team All-HAAC honoree Da'Veion Sullivan.
Originally from Fayetteville, Ark., Flores played fullback and tight end for Evangel, where he was a four-year letterman from 2006 to 2009 and team captain for his final season.
He received his bachelor's degree in physical education in 2010 from Evangel and earned a master's in Education from Avila in 2012.
