George Tuttle
George Tuttle joins the Bearcats as an assistant to head coach J. Kelley Hall after a three-year stint at the University of San Diego, where he served as an assistant coach for the men[apos]s basketball team. Tuttle comes to UC after three seasons as the top assistant coach at San Diego. Tuttle coordinated the Torero recruiting efforts and handled the scheduling duties, in addition to scouting and working with the post players. In his first year on the staff he helped the Toreros to the biggest turnaround in NCAA Division I basketball with 12 more victories and a 16-13 record. Tuttle came to USD from Southern Utah University where he was an assistant coach responsible for recruiting, scheduling, working with the post players, and developing individual skills. Prior to SUU, Tuttle worked in private business and coached in the Fila Summer Pro League in Los Angeles. In the Fila league Tuttle served as head coach of the Moore Management West Coast All-Stars, selecting and coaching free agent professional players in both team and individual settings. He coached the team to a league title in the summer of 2000. He also has coaching experience at the college level with stops at Cal State Fullerton, Sheridan (Wyoming) College and the University of Texas. Tuttle is a 1990 graduate of the University of Texas, where he earned a bachelor[apos]s degree in liberal arts. He was a member of St. Edward[apos]s University (NCAA Divsion II) basketball team, where he was twice named academic all-conference and helped guide the Hilltoppers to a second place Heart of Texas Conference finish.
