Greg Bruner
Greg Bruner started his second stint at the University of Cincinnati in 2011.

He was named assistant AD for Operations in January 2017 after serving as UC’s director of football recruiting since 2014.

Bruner manages the department’s equipment staff with a primary focus on the football program’s equipment operations. He also assists with team travel, football camps and coaches’ clinics.

He oversees six full-time staff members along with a student staff of more than 30 managers throughout the year. He also controls inventory management and administers the day-to-day equipment operations of all 19 athletic programs. 

Prior to moving into an oversight role of the equipment staff, Bruner directed UC’s on-campus recruiting efforts from 2014-17. He organized all official and unofficial visits, coordinated recruiting special events and administered all recruiting paperwork including transcripts and scholarship documents. 

Bruner rejoined the UC staff in 2011 and was the director of football video from 2011-14. He was named the American Athletic Conference Video Coordinator of the Year by the Collegiate Sports Video Association following the 2013 season.

In his former role, he was responsible for the preparation of weekly scouting reports, film breakdown, and implementation of recruiting weekends, motivational videos, daily practice video, and overseeing a staff of student assistants.

Bruner, a 2003 graduate of UC, returned to the Bearcats program after five seasons at the University of Illinois in the same position.

He previously headed the Bearcats video operation from 2003-05 before joining the Fighting Illini. In addition to his video duties at UC, Bruner also assisted with team travel, gameday personnel, banquets, and alumni weekends.

Bruner, a native of Fairfield, Ohio, is a 2003 graduate of Cincinnati where he received a Bachelor’s degree in political science. During his time as an undergraduate, he served as a video intern for four years.

Bruner and his wife, Heather, have three children: daughters, Emma and Eva, and a son, Tyler.
