- Earned the reputation as one of the top receivers in UC grid history during his four seasons.
- Either shared or owned seven UC receiving records when he concluded his career--records that were broken by receivers he tutored ( UC Hall of Famers Jim O[apos]Brien and Tom Rossley) in the late 1960s as UC[apos]s receivers coach.
- As a junior, he finished sixth nationally in receptions with 42.
- Leading scorer in the Mid-American Conference in 1950 with nine TD receptions and one PAT kick.
- Returned to UC as assistant coach in 1960 and served for 16 seasons under five head coaches, coaching receivers and kickers.
- Launched his administrative career as assistant athletics director in 1977.
- Closed his career with 82 receptions for 1,114 yards.
- UC Athletic Hall of Fame 1978.
