Kathryn O'Brien

Kathryn O’Brien joined the Cincinnati staff as a Strategic Brand Engagement and Communications Graduate Assistant in July 2026. In her role, she serves as the primary contact for women’s tennis and men’s and women’s swim and dive, as well as supporting women’s basketball media relations efforts. Alongside this role she is in pursuit of her master’s in sports administration at the University of Cincinnati.

Prior to UC, O’Brien spent four years (2022-26) at the University of South Carolina, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing. In her time at South Carolina, she served as a Communications and PR intern for Gamecock Athletics for all four years. She worked closely with women’s basketball, assisting in hosting four NCAA First/Second Round tournaments. She also contributed as a Media Assistant in the SEC Football Championship in 2024 and the SEC Tennis Tournament in 2025.
