Mark Berger
Mark Berger, a 2001 University of Cincinnati graduate, was promoted to manage the C-Club, the official association of UC letterwinners,  in April of 2022.
 
As the Assistant Director of Athletics, Director of C-Club, Berger will spearhead efforts for Bearcats to maintain a lifelong relationship with Cincinnati Athletics.
 
Berger's responsibilities include gift generation, membership growth and overall operations of the C-Club as well as the coordination of C-Club events, development of the alumni database and execution of the James P. Kelly Athletics Hall of Fame. Additionally, Berger will remain involved in all facets of UCATS operations including major gifts, annual giving, stewardship and donor relations.
 
Berger spent 10 seasons with the UC men’s basketball team before ascending to Assistant AD for Development in 2020.
 
Berger joined the men’s basketball staff at Cincinnati in 2009-10, serving as project coordinator before stints as video coordinator (2010-13), director of student-athlete development (2013-16), director of operations (2016-18) and assistant to the head coach (2018-19).

Berger was temporarily elevated to an assistant coach for practices and games during the 2014-15 season while UC head coach Mick Cronin was sidelined for the final 25 games of the year due to health reasons. 

A native of Cincinnati and loyal to his alma mater, Berger was a basketball manager for the Bearcats as an undergraduate.

Berger came home to Cincinnati after serving as an assistant coach at Presbyterian College during the 2008-09 season. Prior to Presbyterian College, he was head coach at Western Texas College, restarting the men's basketball program for the 2006-07 campaign after a 13-year disbandment.

Berger also worked as an associate head coach at Wilmington College in Ohio and spent two seasons as an assistant coach under Pat Rafferty at Grayson County College in Denison, Texas.

After graduating from Cincinnati, Berger left to serve as an assistant coach at Mount Union College in Ohio. Berger holds a Master’s of Management degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.

He and his wife, Carrie, have one son, Grayson.
