Matt Noonan joined the University of Cincinnati in August of 2016.
Noonan is the play-by-play broadcaster for women’s basketball, baseball, men’s & women’s soccer and other olympic sports. His duties also include conducting interviews with coaches and players, and assisting the video staff with shooting, producing and editing videos for GoBearcats.com and the BearcatsTV YouTube channel.
He joined the Bearcats after spending three years at IMG College in Winston-Salem, N.C. as a studio host and producer for numerous college sports teams’ radio broadcasts, including: West Virginia, Arizona, Oregon, USF, and UAB. While in Winston-Salem, Noonan also worked for 600 WSJS-AM as a news anchor and play-by-play broadcaster for high school sports.
Prior to that, he spent two years at the University of Missouri as a multimedia assistant and play-by-play broadcaster for olympic sports. He also served as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Hamilton Joes baseball team in 2011 & 2013.
Noonan is a native of Cincinnati and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ohio University in 2009.
