TicketsMatt Desmond joined the University of Cincinnati in August of 2015.
Desmond currently works as the Assistant Director of Creative Services and Media in the BearcatsTV offices. Desmond assists in shooting, producing and editing video content for all 19 sports while also co-producing the livestreams of all home Olympic events. Desmond also assists in creating in-game features and content for video boards and for multimedia purposes.
Desmond started his career in Pittsburgh, PA working for KDKA-TV in 2012, as an associate producer and freelance photographer/production assistant. He then took his talents to live event production in 2014 working with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, the Chicago Cubs minor league affiliate. He served as a production assistant with the franchise. After the season, Desmond spent a year with Baylor University serving as an Assistant Director of Athletic Video Productions. His responsibilities included creating content for women’s basketball and softball, while serving as the lead technical director for Tier 3 broadcasts.
Desmond has been an influential figure in the non-profit organization, The National Broadcasting Society-Alpha Epsilon Rho. He served as an executive board member for 5 years, planning five conventions in major metropolitan cities with numerous high profile keynote speakers.
Desmond is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcasting On-Camera and Broadcast Production and Programming from Point Park University in 2012.
