Megan Coffey joined the University of Cincinnati in August of 2014.
Coffey is currently a Director, Strategic Brand Engagement for Bearcats Digital. Her role includes communications oversight of the women's basketball, volleyball, tennis, cross-country and track and field. Other duties include assisting with football, men's basketball, updating and managing the website and team web pages, social media, media brand engagement, and storytelling for the Bearcats.
From August 2014- April 2021, Coffey was the Associate Director of Video Services and Multimedia, overseeing all aspects of video production for UC Athletics. Part of her duties include shooting, producing and editing videos for GoBearcats.com and the BearcatsTV YouTube channel, posting video recaps and highlights of events, assisting in the creation of video board videos, livestreaming all home events for non-televised sports and creating hype videos and commercial spots that promote UC Athletics. Coffey also manages production schedules and the library of video content for archival purposes.
Coffey joined the Bearcats after spending five years at the U.S. Olympic Committee out in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After spending four months as an intern in the broadcast offices during the 2010 Vancouver Olympic and Paralympic Games, she was hired on full-time to tell the story of U.S. Paralympics, where she also covered the Paralympic team at the 2012 London games. She was then promoted to the U.S. Olympic New Media department where she helped transition Paralympic content into the Olympic broadcast offices, oversaw all videos produced for TeamUSA.org and the Team USA YouTube channel and created feature stories and behind the scenes video of athletes competing in the 2014 Sochi Olympic and Paralympic games.
Coffey earned a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois in 2009.
