Mekenzie Dejesus joined the University of Cincinnati staff in September 2022 and serves as athletic facilities and events coordinator.
Her role includes assisting with the coordination of facility set-up and gameday operations, serving as an event manager for lacrosse, and working with women’s basketball along with football.
Dejesus recently served as an event management assistant at the University of Minnesota. She was the primary event manager for women’s ice hockey and baseball, along with having certain responsibilities for football. She assisted with the event management of five NCAA Championship events: the NCAA Women’s Ice Hockey Regional Rounds, the WCHA Final Faceoff, NCAA Women’s Volleyball Regional and Sweet Sixteen, the NCAA Women’s Basketball Final Four and the Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Championship.
Prior to her time with the Golden Gophers, she worked for the Bismarck Larks as a as retail merchandise and operations intern in 2020.
Dejesus began her career as an event management intern at Indiana University where she had the opportunity to assist with women’s field hockey, women’s and men’s basketball, football and the Big Ten men’s swimming and diving championship.
The Indianapolis, Ind., native graduated from Indiana University - Bloomington in 2020, earning her bachelor’s degree in sport marketing and management.
