Assistant Athletic Trainer Michele Galvin, MS, ATC, joined the University of Cincinnati staff in July 2015.

She originally came to UC as an athletic training intern and was elevated to her current role in the spring of 2017. Galvin works primarily with the football team, but has also provided coverage for cross country, track and field and volleyball during her UC tenure.

Galvin's day-to-day responsibilities include management, treatment and prevention of all football student-athlete injuries and illnesses, working on research involving UC's sports sciences initiative as well as assisting in the operation of the sports medicine center on the second floor of the Lindner Center. She also serves as a clinical preceptor for athletic training students in UC's academic program.

Prior to joining the Bearcats, Galvin was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Utah from July 2013-May 2015 and oversaw the day-to-day care for the softball team and also provided medical coverage for the Utes' summer camp program.

She graduated Summa Cum Laude from UCF with a bachelor's of science in athletic training in 2013 and earned a master's in exercise and sports science from Utah in 2015.

Galvin started her career as a student assistant athletic trainer at UCF, working with the Knights' baseball, football and men's soccer programs.

She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association and College Athletic Trainers' society.
