Molly Metress was promoted to Senior Director, Strategic Brand Engagement in December 2025. She serves as the primary communications contact for women’s basketball and women’s golf and supports the department’s overall social media strategy across @GoBearcats channels.
She joined the University of Cincinnati staff in July 2022 as Director, Communications & Strategic Brand Engagement. She previously served as the baseball contact in 2023 and worked with volleyball for three seasons (2022-24).
Prior to UC, Metress spent four years at George Mason University (2018-22), beginning as an athletic communications assistant before being promoted to assistant director. She was the primary communications contact for women's basketball, women's volleyball and track and field/cross country. She also worked with the men's volleyball and softball programs during her tenure.
A 2018 graduate of the University of Dayton, she earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management with minors in business administration and Spanish. While at Dayton, she spent two years in the athletic communications office and worked three NCAA First Four tournaments.
Metress is originally from Burke, Va., and has four sisters and is a proud aunt of seven.
