Mork[apos]s first season at UC also coincided with the Bearcats[apos] first BIG EAST campaign. Under Mork[apos]s leadership, the Bearcats earned three top-five performances in grand finales at the conference championship, while also winning the Varsity 8 petite final. Mork[apos]s charges also placed all five of its boats in the top-11 at the SIRA Championships.
During her time at Notre Dame, Mork served as the top assistant coach to Marvin Stone where she coordinated the Irish[apos]s recruiting efforts and developed the novice program. Mork helped Notre Dame to two straight BIG EAST Conference team championships, four top-20 rankings and two NCAA Championships appearances, finishing 16th and 11th in the nation. In 2003, Mork was tabbed as the Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year and was a finalist for the National Assistant Coach of the Year Award.
Prior to her tenure at Notre Dame, Mork was an assistant coach from 1997-99 at the University of North Carolina and was instrumental in the development of the first varsity rowing program at the school. Mork also gained coaching experience serving as a graduate assistant coach at Purdue University from 1995-97.
A native of Mukwonago, Wis., Mork was a four-year letterwinner at the University of Wisconsin where she earned a BS in Applied Economics in 1994. While at Wisconsin, Mork was a collegiate winner at the famed Head of the Charles Regatta in 1992 and was a top-six finalist at the Collegiate Nationals for three consecutive years. In the summer of 1993, Mork competed at a developmental camp with the Vesper Boat Club, earning four gold medals, five silvers and three national championships.
