Parker Showers joined the University of Cincinnati in August of 2015 as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Showers is directly involved as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for football. In addition to football duties, Showers directs and coordinates strength, speed, agility, and conditioning for women's tennis and cheer.
Showers started his career as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach at Villanova University in August of 2013 working with men's lacrosse while also assisting with football. In addition he was directly in charge of programming and training for track sprinters, swimming & diving, softball, water polo, cheer, and tennis.
In May 2014 Showers began working as a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with University of Akron football team. In this position he assisted in all facets of strength, speed, agility, injury prevention and conditioning during the nnual in-season and off-season training regimes.
Showers is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach through the NSCA and he is a certified Sports Performance Coach through United States Weightlifting. He earned a Master's of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Akron in 2015 and Bachelor's in Business Administration from Lycoming College in 2013.
