Rannen Roberson

Rannen Roberson joined the Office of Student-Athlete Support Services staff June 17, 2013. He serves as associate director and academic counselor for volleyball, tennis and men's basketball.

In his role at UC, Roberson monitors the academic progress of student-athletes and assists them in meeting institution and NCAA eligibility requirements. He also assesses incoming and returning student-athletes to identify and assign necessary learning services to ensure academic success.

Prior to coming to UC, Roberson spent three years as an athletic academic advisor and coordinator at Western Kentucky University. During his time at WKU he coordinated workshops and educational seminars for student-athletes, monitored the academic progress of at-risk student-athletes and coordinated the tutoring schedule for the department.

Roberson coached football and Warren East High school in Bowling Green, Ky. from 2007-2009. He has spent several years in athletic academics, including time as a tutor coordinator, life skills coordinator and athletic academic advisor. Roberson served as graduate assistant at WKU in the Counseling and Student Affairs Department from 2008-2010 while working in an intern capacity with the Counseling and Testing Center.

Roberson played wide receiver at WKU and graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in business administration. He went on to obtain a master's in mental health professional counseling from WKU in 2010.

A member of the Kentucky Counseling Association since 2008, Roberson remains active in the community, volunteering at his church and for the United Way Day of Caring.
