Ryan Koslen joined the University of Cincinnati department of athletics in August of 2008.
He was promoted into his current role as Associate AD/Communications in July 2014 after previously serving as Assistant AD from 2013-14, senior director from Oct. 2012-July 2013 and associate SID from Aug. 2008 to Oct. 2012.
Koslen oversees the external, internal and digital communications for UC's 18-sport athletics program and the day-to-day operations of the communications office. He is the primary spokesperson for athletics, handles media relations for the Bearcats' football team, acts as a liaison with the University's Marketing + Communications office and is a member of the department's external leadership team.
The football media relations operation was honored by the Football Writers Association of America in 2013 with the FWAA's Super 11 Award.
During his time at UC, Koslen has also worked with the baseball, cross country, lacrosse, soccer, swimming and diving and track and field teams.
Prior to joining the Bearcats, he had stints working at Houston (2005-08) and Akron (2003-05).
While an undergraduate at Eastern Michigan, where he earned a bachelor's degree in public relations and graphic communication, Koslen served as a student assistant in the sports information office.
